You make it sound like Israel is intentionally targeting civilians the same way Hamas targeted them on Oct. 7th. That’s a completely false equivalence devoid of any credible evidence. Collateral damage is terrible and Israel must be more prudent and targeted, but self defense is very different than massacring people at a music festival.

You want to equate Israel and Hamas, but this is anything but an apples to apples comparison.

I’m only emphasizing certain points in Israel’s favor because you’re making all the classic excuses in favor of Hamas. But the fact remains that - Israel does not have a policy to eradicate Palestinians. Hamas on the other hand, has an explicit policy and objective to eradicate the only Jewish state in the world.

My past writing has been critical of Israel and if you’re looking for context you’ll find it there, including how Oct. 7th did not happen out of thin air. In fact, many point to Israel closing in on normalizing diplomatic relations with the Saudis and other Arab states as provoking Oct. 7th because Hamas and Iran need the region to be unstable. Stability means they have less power as Israel will have closer friends and allies.

Context and history matter. There are few examples in life where they don’t.
