What will be most interesting is what happens if and when the courts try to stop Trump's agenda. They are already starting to. Does Trump pull an Andrew Jackson (one of his idols) and ignore them, or does he respect their check on presidential power? My guess is the former (openly ignoring them). So while I generally agree with you that this is mostly performance art/reality TV, it could get very real if the judiciary steps in and shows how ineffective it is at enforcing anything.
