Well said - while I wouldn’t go as far as saying superhero movies aren’t cinema, the genre is beating a dead horse and there’s so much untapped creativity and expression waiting to be explored.

Someone just needs the balls and bankroll to channel what was great about the past - as you mentioned - and make it fit into modern cinema.
