Very interesting analysis! Thinking of more ways to market The Political Prism, but as you noted we’re fairly new (going live with the Boost Program in June 2024). We’re nearing 1,000 subscribers and I’m grateful for writers like you, Dave, who provide thoughtful stories even when the payout isn’t much.
Titles (and featured images) are certainly important as you noted too. I’m planning to hone in on this part of the pub because after all, if people don’t click, they don’t read!
It’s also hard to market something that doesn’t have a clear partisan angle because let’s face it, extremism sells much better.
But I’m convinced that balanced and thoughtful thinking will sell better in the long term, at least for society (maybe not our wallets).
