This is so spot on. I’ve never worked in tech but I worked on Wall Street and while some of those behemoth banks could use a lot more “founder mode”, the best are skilled at giving autonomy and creative license to various managers and letting them run.

I think you’re spot on with your assessment - too much founder mode (as with most things) is not a good thing.
