The reality is that almost half the country is likely to vote for Trump (again). And this essay is an attempt to engage with at least some of them.

I share many of your same views, but while the overwhelming threat posed by Trump is great, I can understand why some people like certain policies and positions. I am trying to meet them on those terms, but also highlight that this approach is unreasonably narrow and limited.
