Surprised by this take. YouTube is more popular than ever and beats Netflix in watch time and likely valuation (even if it was its own company outside Alphabet).

I get way more views and watch time on my videos than I do my writing despite having similarly sized audiences.

Video is a great way to promote your writing too.
