Sensible DEI policies that are balanced with meritocracy actually work. Underrepresented populations deserve equal opportunities, and we can all benefit from a diversity of perspectives (especially Palo Alto Networks and Elon Musk).

Problems arise when DEI goes too far and merit takes a back seat. But we shouldn’t go in the other extreme either.
