Basically, a licensing regime to reasonably ensure safety and various transparency/disclosure requirements so AI notifies consumers when they’re engaging it and people can gain a rudimentary understanding of how AI systems like generative AI (ChatGPT for example) operate.
More broadly, I think we’re missing a comprehensive privacy law in the US similar to GDPR in the EU. But that would apply more broadly to the internet at a whole.
What do you think? Is that reasonable?
