I was so hopeful that Biden could fend off the dangers of Trump yet again after watching his recent State of the Union speech. But it was mostly scripted, planned, and curated for him. His team tried to orchestrate this debate in much the same way, but nobody can plan for what comes out of Trump’s mouth, and Biden was simply too slow to counter the avalanche of lies that buried him over and over.

A hot swap of him with someone like Gretchen Whitmer is necessary. And I agree that if he doesn’t allow that to happen, he will be up there, if not worse than, Trump from a historical perspective.

Also, shame on his family (particularly Jill) and his team for even putting him in that position. He was destined to fail from the minute he walked onto that stage clearly lacking in vitality, wit, and dare I say… competence. A debate I will never forget and a very sad moment for America. Hopefully it only remains a moment and we get a new candidate.
