I think many journalists have fallen prey to the internet clickbait culture, and sensational outlets like Buzzfeed and their listicle brethren destroy the credibility of the industry at large.

With that said, I can’t agree enough with everything you said about the editorial process, its importance, and the need for more of it on social media. If there’s anything people have proven it’s that they cannot be their own editors.
