I really wish I could agree, I’d like to fight for peace, but in the face of an unreasonable aggressor, it’s not an option unless they’re willing to make serious concessions.

Rewind history and ask the Austrians how they felt about Hitler in 1938? What about the Czechs? The Poles?

Hitler gave guarantees that his land grabs and demands were limited in those times.

“Just a few million Austrians, Czechs, or Poles”, you might say. And many did from the comforts of Britain and France at the time. They didn’t want to risk world war, much as you don’t either.

Totally reasonable, until appeasing an unreasonably aggressive dictator leads war right to your front door.
