I never said a military objective was a free pass to cause collateral damage. In an ideal world Israel would be more strategic and surgical in their attacks.

But they aren’t the ones threatening to destroy all of Palestine, from the river to the sea. They don’t have a charter that has said for decades that they plan to annihilate Palestine or Hamas from the face of the earth.

If you had someone existentially threatening you on your doorstep, you might be more sympathetic to more aggressive defensive measures too. Especially when your house is surrounded by multiple neighbors who have threatened the same since the 1940s.
