I love the pragmatic commentators defending Biden, especially when they call me “leftist.” Clearly, you don’t regularly read my writing. And I guess you value pragmatism over competency?

If pragmatism is so important to you, show me where you advocated for an open, fair and democratic primary to determine whether Biden really was the Democratic Party’s choice, or whether the party and Biden’s team was in reality protecting him and preventing others like Dean Philips from running (I wrote an article about Dean, but I guess you missed it!).

If Biden wanted to mitigate concerns from people like me (I’m actually a registered Republican in New York State), he would hold a long press conference to address all competency, age, and capability concerns head on. But he won’t. His team (and his wife) knows that would expose him further.

What we witnessed in his debate against Trump was nothing short of terrifying. As I’ve written in response to other comments like yours, if the CEO of a public company had that performance in front of shareholders, they would already be gone. And trust me, no Board of Directors is like: “well we can’t get rid of this CEO because who would we replace them with?”

They find someone. Just as democrats need to at the convention this summer. And there are PLENTY of options. I actually planned to write a piece on it, but don’t expect you to read it as you clearly haven’t read my previous articles.

A preview though of my top 5: 1) Gretchen Whitmer, 2) Dean Phillips, 3) Michelle Obama, 4) Gavin Newsom, 5) Sherrod Brown
