I hear you, but compared to the Black Death and other times that were nasty, brutish, and short, modern life is pretty damn good. The quality and standard of living for the average person has never been higher (just look at how far China has come!). We are living in some of the most stable times in history, and part of me thinks that social media, 24/7 news, and influencers everywhere are causing everyone to freak out and forget historical context.

But perhaps I'm overly optimistic?
