I gave some comments, but in short I like the idea although I’m skeptical based on your premise that it will require a culture that abhors campaigning. Human are political animals. When power is involved, many will do anything, even behind the scenes, to attain it. All of history teaches us this. How would you enforce this or shape the culture?

I want to think about this some more though. And I’m interested in writing a longer piece in response to it.

At this point, I think all options and ideas should be on the table to improve democracy around the world.
