Great assessments of the risks of Trump, but I fear that this framing - all about Trump - alienates a lot of independent and center right voters who would otherwise support Harris. I agree with much of what you so artfully articulated, but I’ve heard from many others that this type of rhetoric targeted at Trump only fuels his martyrdom, constructing a veneer of unfairness (despite the factual accuracy of the assertions).

To be clear - I’m guilty as charged (I’ve written many stories about the dangers of Trump/MAGA). And Kamala Harris is too. But what we’ve seen since she pivoted her campaign from her candidacy and why she’s the best to take the torch from Biden to a campaign that demonizes Trump, is a nosedive in her polling numbers.

I hope in the final days of the election she can highlight why she’s the better candidate and future for America by describing positives about herself. Negatives about Trump are relevant, but they can’t be the central theme if she wants to win the necessary swing states. Despite the near and present danger of fascism being so vivid as you described.
