But Wall Street couldn’t give unlimited contributions to candidates before Citizens United. What evidence is there to suggest they bought all the politicians (of one party in particular when they historically donate to both)?
Look at how modern conservative jurisprudence evolved, first in law schools through groups like the federalist society and then all the way up to the Supreme Court. This isn’t about Wall Street, but a concerted effort by conservatives to gain and maintain power. Politicians like McConnell enabled it for their own interests, not Wall Street banks.
In terms of Gaza, I would encourage you to think in terms of proximate cause. What sparked all of the bloodshed in Gaza these past 6+ months? And if you appreciate the complex history of the region and the barbaric goals of Hamas, not to mention their war crime tactics in Gaza, none of it is simple.
What is simple is not intentionally targeting innocent civilians. There’s only been one side with a long history of doing that, and it’s not Israel.
