As a general principle do you think the AI industry should solely fund itself via subscriptions and completely ban ads funding?

There might be a way to split the difference by putting principles around ads funding, in addition to controls/monitoring to make sure they're being followed.

Good points though on the dangers of ads and the incentive structure it creates. We've certainly witnessed its more detrimental effects with social media.
